Welcome!
My name is Lori Blodorn, and I am running for the Menomonee Falls School Board. Strong schools are important for our children and our community. As a member of the Board, I will bring an analytical mind, strong leadership, and an innovative spirit to help guide the district through the challenging times ahead.
Leadership
Our schools need leaders who are willing to step up, advocate for the best interests of our district, and represent all of the stakeholders in our community; our children, our residents, and our staff. In tough times, leadership is more important than ever. I look forward to serving on the board and ensuring that our schools remain strong.
Innovation
Strong schools are fundamental to strong communities. Stong schools grow our economy by attracting families and businesses. We have many challenges ahead: from budget deficits, to reforming an education system that has seen little change in generations. I am passionate about the way we teach our kids, and determined to get it right. We must change the way we educate our kids or we risk making the education system irrelevant to a generation of children with literally the whole world at their fingertips. We must innovate our way to success.
Communication
Our schools belong to us. We are all important parts of the success of our school district. As we face difficult issues, the school board must find ways to improve communications with the community. I will strive to increase community participation, and to include all community stakeholders in the decision-making process as we chart the course for the future of our schools.
